MORE HELP
Use * (an asterisk) to truncate
your query, e.g. "educat*", to search for all words starting
with 'educat'. This will retrieve words like educational, educationalists,
etc.
By pressing the "INDEX"
button, the searchable terms in the database will be displayed. The number
in brackets indicates how often the term occurs in the database, e.g. SOCIALISM
(3), means that SOCIALISM occurs 3 times in this database. It is useful
to use this option to see how terms are indexed, e.g. authors are indexed
are under the surname, followed by a comma, and then the first name or
initials, e.g. WILLIAMS, John.
The button "INDEX" changes
to "(...more/reset)". Click it to reset to search for another
word, or click on the last entry in the index with "(...more)"
to get further entries in the index.
When using the "INDEX' button,
enter at least 3 characters to start your search in the index of
the database.
